Gifts for Spanish Family?
I’m traveling with a Student delegation to Europe, and will be staying with a host family somewhere in Spain. They suggest bringing a small gift that outlines or describes the culture of Americans/ Floridians (we’re all from Florida). I believe one of the ideas was a decorative Coffee mug with ‘Florida’ or something of the sort written on it. Do you have any other (creative) suggestions for what I should give them?
Thanks.
Perhaps some recipe cards that you made on the computer for some foods that are local favorites like Key Lime Pie or some Cuban foods? You could type them up on the computer and then glue them on the back of some postcards from some popular Florida sights. (Especially Miami) Package them along with your coffee mug and any other souvenier type stuff. It will give it a personal touch. I would say bring some hard to find ingredients but customs can be a bear these days! Have a great trip!
